Masterclasses

All participants will have to opportunity to hear great afternoon and evening lectures from our from world renowned faculty, guest performing artists and highly-experienced steel pan educators!

Panel Discussions

Panel Discussions will be held every morning for educators and players who are interested in various pan-related topics. (i.e. how to start a steel band at various education levels, the engine room, the business of pan, etc.) Discussion topics will be finalized through survey in June.

Performances

There will be various performances throughout the week featuring various pan artists from all over the country. On Friday night, participants will have a chance to show their skills at the Festival jam session. You can sit back and listen, grab a cowbell, or even jump on a pan and play!

To celebrate the steel pan by facilitating the exchange of information and ideas through masterclasses, lectures, and group performances - bringing together the foremost steel pan artists and educators in the world with a diverse group of steel pan players and enthusiasts - to expose the steel pan community to new works of steelband music and provide an opportunity for composers to showcase their works.
